Anna Hogen, Senior Merchandiser, Monsoon Accessorize Ltd

Anna has been at Monsoon Accessorize for over four years, starting as a Merchandising Admin Assistant on Knitwear & Jersey, Anna worked her way up through departments to Senior Merchandiser responsible for the Smart, Occasion, Originals and Bridal departments. Anna is involved in allocating stock, managing intake and despatch to range building with buying and planning strategies for future seasons. Working in a multichannel business has given Anna an invaluable understanding of how to plan and trade for different markets.


Brian Scott, Business Systems Director, Pets at Home

Since 2008 Brian has worked as the Business System Director at Pets at Home, previous to this Brian has held positions in many leading retailers including Head of Business Systems at Halfords.

Brian has a wealth of experience in implementing systems strategies to underpin the ever changing business retail requirements and has the versatility and skills to introduce cutting edge technology. Pets at Home have recently worked with BT Expedite to implement 'Click & Collect' a multichannel solution and an iPhone application.

Charleen Benson, Director of Consulting Services, BT Expedite

Charleen is an experienced software professional, having worked for over 17 years managing and delivering all stages of the system development lifecycle to the financial services and retail sectors. Charleen joined BT Expedite from Tesco, where she'd worked for five years. Working in a consultancy, innovation and product development capacity within BT Expedite, Charleen has extensive experience in functional solution design and business process improvement. She specialises in store systems and is responsible for defining complex requirements and delivering customer-focused solutions.

David Kohn, Head of Multichannel, Snow+Rock Group

An experienced retailer, David has held senior commercial leadership roles at several of the UK’s leading high street names including WHSmith, Blacks Leisure Group, Borders UK and Waterstone’s.  As Head of Multichannel for Snow+Rock Group he is responsible primarily for driving eCommerce growth for each of the Group’s three specialist fascias - Snow+Rock, Cycle Surgery and Runners Need.  Each of these businesses has huge potential, and the challenge is to work out how best to exploit this.


David Postle, Head of IT, Barratts Trading Limited

David has worked in the IT Arena for over 25 years, the majority of that time working with speciality Retailers in the implementation of EPOS Solutions and in the integration of Head Office Hardware and Software platforms.

Appointed Head of IT during the recent restructuring of Barratts Trading Limited . David  now acts as the focal point for IT and is tasked with delivering the robustness and reliability that the business demands from its inherited systems whilst at the same time defining the next steps in providing forward thinking IT to support the new business growth


Geoffrey Barraclough, Director Strategy, Marketing & Propositions, BT Expedite

Geoff joined BT Expedite in 2009 and, since then, he's devised a programme of customer research and thought leadership activities. These provide an insight for retailers on what shoppers are looking for in a true multichannel world and the issues and challenges retailers face as the store and web channels become blurred. Prior to this Geoff held numerous strategic and customer-centric marketing roles, including launching a corporate venture targeted at the supply chain IT market which won significant contracts, with customers including Marks & Spencer and Royal Mail.

Jason Shorrock, Business Development Director, BT Expedite

Jason Shorrock has been with BT Expedite since April 2005. Prior to this he worked as the EMEA Retail Solutions Specialist for i2 Technologies and spent 13 years working for Marks & Spencer across both the Food and General Merchandise Divisions. Jason has over 18 years' experience implementing solutions and best practices to help retailers thrive in a changing world.

He was also ranked at number 58 in a recent multichannel/e-commerce Movers & Shakers poll by



Jenni Cumming, Head of CRM, Liberty Plc

Jenni Cumming is head of CRM at Liberty where she is responsible for the loyalty programme, customer insight and customer retention. Prior to Liberty, Jenni has held similar roles working for retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Harrods, Links of London and most recently at The Body Shop where she was International CRM Director.



John Kennedy, Head of Business Systems, Cole Haan

John is currently with Cole Haan in the capacity of Solution Delivery. In this role, John is responsible for overseeing the design, development and delivery of POS and other retail store solutions and processes to meet their business needs and objectives. With over 20 years of previous experience serving in technical consulting and management roles with several Retailers, John offers a unique industry perspective and experience to Cole Haan.




Jonathan Bowen, Head of Client Services, BT Fresca

Jonathan works with the team that’s responsible for developing the FrescaCommerce Platform (FCP) and bringing it to market. He’s been in retail for over 18 years, specialising in retail systems.




Kevin Burns

Kevin Burns, Solution Architect, BT Expedite

Kevin has been with BT Expedite since its inception and has over 15 years' experience in the retail IT arena, including time as a retailer. He has been a Solution Architect since 2008 with a focus on PCI and Payment Solutions. He works closely with BT Expedite's customers to help define and implement payment solutions which address both business requirements and the PCI DSS.

In his role Kevin also works closely with many of the payment application providers and hardware vendors to ensure that BT Expedite and its customers remain up to date with the latest technology enhancements and compliance requirements.



After Dinner Speaker: Kriss Akabusi

Kriss is one of the UK's best-known athletes. His first career was in the Army, joining the Royal Signals as trainee data telegraphist. He was then able to dedicate himself fully to his career as an athlete. He began his international career in 1983 as a member of the 4x400 metre relay squad, and the following year he won a silver medal in the Olympic Games. He followed that up in 1990 with a gold medal in the 400 metres hurdles at the Commonwealth games and a gold medal in the European Championships 4x400 metres relay. His greatest individual triumph was his gold medal in the 400 metres hurdles at the same event when he also beat David Hemery's 22 year old British record. He will probably be best remembered for helping Britain clinch the gold medal and beat the Americans in the World Championships 4x400 metres relay in Tokyo in 1991.

Kriss Akabusi is one of the most prominent, adept and charismatic motivational speakers today.  Delegates will be inspired both personally and professionally.

Nadine Sharara, Head of eCommerce, Thomas Pink

With over 7 years ecommerce experience across a number of blue chip retailers, including Space NK, USC and House of Fraser, working both client side and supplier side, Nadine specialises in helping retailers maximise online trading opportunities through cross-channel integration. Specialities include Internationalisation, Technology, Merchandising, CRM, Email, Mobile, Social and Digital Advertising.

Nadine has held numerous positions essentially responsible for the optimization of existing business as well as future proofing and achieving significant LFL growth. She is passionate about cross-channel commerce and the financial gains it brings to businesses today and enjoys being involved with leading industry networks and staying abreast of best practice and benchmarking.


PayPal Rob Harper, Head of Retail Services, PayPal EMEA

As Head of Retail Services, Rob is overseeing PayPal’s expansion as a way to pay on the high street as well as online. A PayPal veteran in his sixth year Rob has launched a number of innovative payment services for consumers and businesses with particular expertise in payments in the travel, digital goods and in-store environments.



Roberta Travagin, Head of Global Marketing, Karen Millen

Roberta Travagin is Head of Global Marketing at British fashion retailer Karen Millen.   Prior to Karen Millen, Roberta held the position of Global Consumer Manager at British luxury brand Burberry where she oversaw global customer communication and marketing campaigns. At ethical beauty company The Body Shop she worked as Senior Product development and Marketing expert.  With over 15 years experience in the fashion and beauty industries Roberta has developed a wealth of knowledge in the spheres of International Marketing and Consumer Behaviour in the global marketplace


Robin Coles, Director of Supply Chain Consulting, BT Expedite

Robin has more than 25 years' experience of providing retail solutions to major clients including House of Fraser, Monsoon and Aurora Fashions. His most recent role was Director of Retail Systems at software vendor Itim Limited where he had overall responsibility for the company's emerging retail systems. Prior to this he was Business Development Manager at Prologic PLC looking after marketing, consulting and new business sales.

Robin will be a familiar face to many both throughout the industry and at BT as he previously worked for NSB Retail Systems when its UK operations were acquired by BT in 2003. BT Expedite was formed as a result of the acquisition.

Steve Rothwell, CEO, Eagle Eye solutions


Steve Rothwell was appointed CEO of Eagle Eye Solutions in 2009, a world leader in mobile coupons and gift vouchers. Steve invented the patented redemption technology which powers the redemption software instore today. Prior to this, he was CEO of Eagle Eye Technologies, a consultant for Consult Hyperion and a software engineer for Ericsson.



Steve Thomas, CTO, BT Expedite

Steve has been with BT Expedite since its inception and has held numerous roles throughout this time ranging from developer, technical consultant and solutions architect.

Steve has strong views on the future of retail, working with his colleagues and customers to define an innovation driven journey focusing on CRM, super-fast broandband/Openzone, social, mobile, location, next gen payment etc. contributing to the BT Expedite product/service roadmap.



Susan Elliot, IT Analyst, Monsoon Accessorize Ltd

Susan has gained a wealth of knowledge in the Branch Merchandising area, through
20 years of experience in the retail sector across a wide range of high street brands.

Since joining Monsoon Accessorize Ltd in 2001 Susan has worked in various roles within Branch Merchandising allowing her to experience the complexities of the Merchandisers role.  Her current role as Merchandising Analyst allows Susan to improve processes and implement change for the benefit of both users and the company spanning all Merchandising functions across all the Monsoon brands.




Tanya Bowen Tanya Bowen, Head of CRM & Loyalty, BT Expedite

Tanya Bowen has worked with more than 75 retailers in the UK and North America over the past 15 years, focusing on CRM return on investment and customer appreciation. Today, Tanya spends much of her time working with retailers to develop tailored and overarching CRM programmes that mirror each retailer's business strategy. Retail-specific CRM technology is a critical first step to ensuring early and consistent CRM programme success. However, Tanya and her team are strong advocates of people skills and believe no amount of technology can substitute for a solid CRM programme and the desire to execute it – whether you are the CEO, a sales associate at the store, or an e-commerce marketing manager.
