Richard Wolff, former International Retail Director at Marks and Spencer PLC

Richard Wolff was Director of Marks and Spencer International Retail Group prior to his retirement from the Company 4 years ago. He was responsible for building the group to 250 stores in 35 countries including the Middle East, Russia, Indian, Turkey and the Far East. The sales turnover was £0.5 billion and was very profitable. He was responsible at various times in his career for subsidiary operations in the USA and also the very profitable group of owned stores in Hong Kong. Of late, Richard has completed work for Williams-Sonoma (Pottery Barn) and John Lewis. He is currently working with several major retailers on both sides of the Atlantic.

Melanie Traub, Global Merchandising, Buying, Wholesale and Franchise Director - Thomas Pink Limited

Melanie has worked with Thomas Pink for eight years. She's responsible for the global supply chain, from fashion trends through to finished products delivered to stores, including merchandising, buying, design and product development. Melanie has additional responsibility for the Franchise and Wholesale area of the business, working closely with BT to implement a new Sales Order Processing system that works with Mercatus. She has previously worked for Asprey and Garrard, Kookai and Marks and Spencer.

Robin Coles, Director of Supply Chain Consulting, BT Expedite

Robin has more than 25 years' experience of providing retail solutions to major clients including House of Fraser, Monsoon and Aurora Fashions. His most recent role was Director of Retail Systems at software vendor Itim Limited where he had overall responsibility for the company's emerging retail systems. Prior to this he was Business Development Manager at Prologic PLC looking after marketing, consulting and new business sales. Robin will be a familiar face to many both throughout the industry and at BT as he previously worked for NSB Retail Systems when its UK operations were acquired by BT in 2003. BT Expedite was formed as a result of the acquisition.

Jason Shorrock, Multichannel Specialist at BT Expedite

Jason Shorrock has been with BT Expedite since April 2005. Prior to this he worked as the EMEA Retail Solutions Specialist for i2 Technologies and spent 13 years working for Marks & Spencer across both the Food and General Merchandise Divisions. Jason has over 18 years' experience implementing solutions and best practices to help retailers thrive in a changing world. Sarah Hughes, Joint Managing Director at BT Fresca

Sarah founded Fresca in October 2000, having spent the first ten years of her career with ICI and AstraZeneca. Initially an Engineering Manager, Sarah was the youngest person, and the first woman, to be appointed Asset Manager, responsible for the management of a fine chemical production plant.
Sarah was then appointed Business Manager of Avecia (a spin-off of ICI/AstraZeneca), an "intrepreneurial" role with the objective of commercialising the intellectual property developed in the arena of light emitting polymers.
Sarah believed that the disciplines of quality management and process control that underpin Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) were lacking in, and could be usefully transferred to, management of websites and e-services. With two major client wins (The Conservative Party and P&O Princess Cruises) within the first month of starting the company, and a significant number since, the marketplace has responded incredibly positively to the concept.
Sarah's achievements to date were recognised when she became a finalist in the 2003 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, operated by Ernst & Young.

Geoffrey Barraclough, Director Strategy, Marketing & Propositions, BT Expedite

Geoff joined BT Expedite in 2009 and, since then, he's devised a programme of customer research and thought leadership activities. These provide an insight for retailers on what shoppers are looking for in a true multichannel world and the issues and challenges retailers face as the store and web channels become blurred. Prior to this Geoff held numerous strategic and customer-centric marketing roles, including launching a corporate venture targeted at the supply chain IT market which won significant contracts, with customers including Marks & Spencer and Royal Mail.
