WAREHOUSE AND THOMAS PINK PICK BT TO BOOST STORE AND WEB SHOPPING


Thomas Pink, the British luxury shirtmaker and Warehouse, providers of fashion design for the high street, are the first businesses in the UK to use BT Expedite’s Integrated Store multi-channel system, linking store and online channels.

The new contracts reflect BT’s specialist retail solution division’s number one position as the multi-channel applications suite market leader in the UK, according to Multichannel Retail: Using Integrated Technology to Achieve Cross-Channel Brand Consistency produced by Datamonitor. In the report, published in June 2009, Datamonitor Retail Analyst Christine Bardwell examines how technology can help retailers give customers a consistent experience whether they are shopping in store, online or over the phone.

With online sales now a major strength of UK retailing, all retailers need to focus on integrating their high street and online stores more effectively. BT’s Integrated Store enables retailers to respond to the increased expectations of their customers. For example, from the Webstore, customers can reserve online and then pickup in store and also buy online and return in store. Once in the store customers can order for delivery anywhere.
